Since the initial Promotion Final ticket allocations were confirmed with clubs last week, the National League has been in regular dialogue with both clubs and all relevant authorities to find suitable solutions to ensure as many supporters can attend as possible.
Clubs were given an initial allocation of 17,500 unrestricted tickets with availability to increase capacity through available coach ticket packages.
The intention was to always review this situation against demand. Yesterday, Wembley Stadium supported by TFL and the train operating companies provided both clubs with an extra 4,000 tickets each.
The additional capacity has been achieved through a strengthened rail plan on both the Bakerloo and Chiltern routes along with additional parking capacity secured at Fryent Country Park in Brent.
Further tickets can also be made available to clubs who prioritise the sale of tickets via coach packages. We would encourage both clubs to support this initiative to ensure as many fans as possible can attend the Promotion Final at Wembley Stadium on June 1.

Capacity restrictions for events at Wembley Stadium are set by the relevant authorities in conjunction with TfL. Any decisions on capacity restrictions cannot and have not been made by the National League.
We share the disappointment felt by fans of both clubs and are working with all the relevant authorities – including both Southend United and Oldham Athletic. However, we also recognise that the safety of fans is paramount importance. All efforts to increase capacity need to be done so in a co-ordinated and appropriate manner that has fans’ safety at the heart.
Wembley Stadium has been the confirmed venue for this season’s Promotion Final since last year, long before the planned closure of Wembley Park station was announced.
Events of this size take months of planning and consultation. As such, seeking alternative venues at short notice was not deemed a viable option.
