Two depart, as three news faces enter the Shay – Pete Wild builds his coaching team ahead of the 20/21 season.

Firstly, the Football Club is pleased to announce Assistant Manager – Chris Millington,  Head Physio – Aaron Scholes, and Kitman – Alan Jackson, will remain with the Club, and continue to work with the Gaffer and the first team.

With gratitude, we would like to thank Goalkeeper Coach – Joe Stead and Assistant Physio – Nick Taylor for their services to the Club, as the pair depart from FC Halifax Town. We wish Joe and Nick all the best with their future careers.

It’s a warm welcome to the new backroom staff, as the Club can announce Joe Sargison as our First Team Coach, Paul Oakes and Adam Simpson both joining the Club, as a Goalkeeper Coach and a Strength & Conditioning Coach, respectively.

Sargison has a vast amount of experience, having previously coached academy sides at Sheffield United & Nottingham Forest. He was also the Assistant Manager of Sweden’s Ostersunds FK, who play in the Allsvenskan – the highest ranked professional league in Sweden.

New Goalkeeper Coach, Oakes, runs his own coaching academy in Oldham, and replaces Stead for the 20/21 campaign. Simpson supported the first-team last season, but now joins on a permanent basis. He has experience at Bradford Bulls and is still with the Rugby Club but will combine both of his roles.

We wish them every success in their new roles, and we are really pleased to be able to strengthen our backroom team in readiness for the new season.
