FC Halifax Town U19s come from behind to comfortably defeat Oldham away.
The home side came flying out the gates as they put themselves up one goal to the good in the 5th minute. However, this would not keep the well drilled Town side down as in the 25th minute Barney Wiggins would level the scoring from a well worked set piece to make his 2nd goal in the last two games. The score would remain the same going into halftime.
As soon as the second half was underway Halifax had their foot on the pedal and were pushing for a winner, despite pivotal performances from Max Walker and Sam Finch the score remained 1-1 going into the final 10 minutes of the game. And in the 80th minute the visitors’ hard work paid off as substitute Ryan Bailey would give the Shaymen the lead, not only would he put them up he would ice the game five minutes later with his second goal of the night making it 3-1 to Halifax. This is how the game would end with Halifax coming from behind to end up 3-1 victors away at Oldham.
