FC Halifax Town will begin life under new boss Pete Wild with a return to his former Club on Tuesday night in our last pre-season game away at Oldham Athletic.

Wild was appointed new first team manager last Wednesday and he will be in charge in midweek against the Club he has spent the last 12 years working for.

Last season he had spells as caretaker boss and first team manager and left Boundary Park in May and proved a popular figure with the Oldham fans.

He was in charge when the League Two side beat Fulham in the FA Cup 3rd Round in January 2019.

Wild has spent the week working with the players and this is their chance to prove their worth to the new gaffer prior to the opening League game of the season away at Ebbsfleet United on Saturday.

Halifax born Nathan Clarke played for Oldham Athletic previously in his career and will be returning to Boundary Park on Tuesday night.

The last time the two sides met was in July 2015 at the Shay and only Matty Brown and Josh MacDonald who played on the evening are still with the Shaymen.
