FC Halifax Town were able to win their fourth pre-season friendly as Billy Heath made seven changes at Church Lane.

Tom Denton, Matty Kosylo and Bohan Dixon were the three musketeers that scored for the Shaymen, making their trip to East Yorkshire a success.

North Ferriby got the game underway at the Eon Visual Media Stadium. The game started with both teams battling for possession as they strived for an early goal.

Onwards into the first quarter of the game and Alberto had the first chance to put the home side in front but the ball flew over the bar.

Dangerous on the ball, Ferriby pressured the Shaymen’s defence on and off the ball. Their second shot on goal hit the post and left them vulnerable to a counter attack where Halifax were able to pounce in the open field and Denton got the opening goal in the 22nd minute.

The Shaymen kept hold of possession and attempted a few shots on goal. One ball fell to Kosylo who was able to slot the ball into the bottom right corner in the 39th minute that put Halifax 2-0 up.

HT: 0-2

Shaymen got the second half underway and defender Dixon had fired an ambitious attempt outside the box and once again over the crossbar. Adam Morgan came on for Town skipper Scott Garner.

Bohan Dixon was able to extend Town’s lead as he fires the ball into the bottom left hand corner. Town 3-0 up after 53 minutes of game time.

Billy Heath’s half time talk had seemed to keep the team morale at a high as they performed well through the majority of the third quarter.

Heath had made a couple more subs, Dixon and Kosylo exited the field for Hotte and McDonald. King coming on for Lynch as well later on. Plenty of Shaymen getting game-time in this pre-season friendly.

Denton was replaced by Jake Hibbs, leaving Morgan in the striker position.

Into the final quarter of the game and the home side still struggled to get a goal. The game ended in a scrappy exchange with both sides fighting for the ball and as soon as stoppage time expired the ref called the game to an end.
