The nominations for Player of the Month are…
Will Harris (FC Halifax Town)
The sole goal to overcome Morecambe, and a delightful double to help win in Eastleigh – including an acrobatic overhead effort. Once again making critical contributions at the top end of the pitch and a standout performer in the Shaymen’s rise into the play-off positions.
Zain Westbrooke (Scunthorpe United)
Having extended his Doncaster loan until the end of the season at the start of the month, Westbrooke has continued to catch the eye. Forced the third goal in a 3-1 win at Boreham Wood and notched against Forest Green Rovers, as two play-off rivals were felled.
Ollie Pearce (York City)
Another five goals in his five appearances across the course of January for the forward. November’s Player of the Month has fired himself into contention for a repeat – a late leveller against Southend, the winner in Southend, and a home hat-trick against Braintree.
Gus Scott-Morriss (Southend United)
Another eye-catching month for the effervescent wing-back, who again delivered at both ends of the pitch. His impressive goal-tally continued to grow in wins against Eastleigh and Chatham in league and cup respectively, as well as assisting the opening goal away at York.
The panel for January is Aaron Mclean (DAZN), Matt Badcock (Non-League Paper) and Sam Elliott (Enterprise National League).
