It’s a case of déjà vu as we crown the first Enterprise National League award winners of 2026.
York City’s Stuart Maynard lands the Manager of the Month accolade, with his striker unstoppable Ollie Pearce taking the Player of the Month prize.
This isn’t the first time they’ve both been recognised at the same time.
Maynard and Pearce got their hands on the coveted Enterprise awards together in November too – and our panel decided another double was fully deserved.
December was hardly a poor month, but the championship hopefuls were certainly on the march again as the new year began.
Maynard’s Minstermen were merciless in a 16-point month, starting with victory at Sutton United before a long trip to the other end of the UK as they left title foes Carlisle United with not only a 3-0 win It was without doubt the league’s most impressive victory since they beat them 5-0 back in September!
A narrow win at Sutton United followed before Southend United held York to a draw – but the manager got things right in easy wins over Braintree Town, and fellow free scorers Solihull Moors.
No clubs in the top six tiers of English football have scored more goals than they have, and this man is the reason why.
Pearce the predator added another five to his tally last month. He scored a late leveller against Southend, the winner at Sutton, and a home hat-trick against
Braintree fired him clear in the scoring charts.
Incredible, he sits 12 goals in front of his nearest competitor for the Golden Boot.
Pearce beat off competition from Halifax’s Will Harris, Zain Westbrooke of Scunthorpe United and Southend’s Mr Consistent Gus Scott-Morriss.
Maynard was voted top boss by the panel at the expense of title rivals’ manager Jimmy McNulty as well as Andy Butler at Scunthorpe and Adam Lakeland of FC Halifax Town
