The Pilgrims are the panel’s choice as Boston United double up to land the February  Enterprise National League awards.

Paul Hurst and Tom Cursons’ flying start to life at the Jakeman’s Community Stadium has seen both men rightly recognised.

Hurst takes the Manager of the Month accolade weeks after returning to the club’s dug-out following a 15-year absence.

Perhaps he felt he had some lost time to make up for, and after a solid first few games Boston’s season has burst into life.

They got the job done with narrow victories over Sutton United and Gateshead, before arguably their best performance since returning to the National League.

Winning 6-3 at Lincolnshire foes Scunthorpe United kept the feel-good factor going. They ended the month with a sparkling 3-2 win at Forest Green Rovers with a sturdy stalemate at Tamworth tucked in between.

Hurst, the former Grimsby Town and Shrewsbury manager, saw off competition from Aldershot’s John Coleman, January’s winner Stuart Maynard and Rochdale boss
Jimmy McNulty.

He isn’t the only new arrival to make an instant impression.

Striker Cursons signed for the club two weeks after his new manager, and he has also hit the ground running.

Boston paid a fee to Harrogate Town for the 24-year-old and he’ll be worth everypenny if his first five weeks are anything to go by!

Starting with winning goals against Sutton and Gateshead, he took no time at all to endear himself to his new public with a stunning hat-trick against Scunthorpe.

He ended the month with another winner – this time at Forest Green.

Competition was high but he came out on top despite the form of York City’s Josh Stones, David Ajiboye of Carlisle United and Rochdale hitman Mani Dieseruvwe.

Congratulations to the winning double act!
