FC Halifax Town are delighted to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Nathaniel Ford following his release from League One side Rotherham United.
The young keeper has so far spent his entire career with the Millers, joining the academy as a child. Ford climbed the youth ranks and after impressive displays for the under 18s, signed his first professional contract in April 2023. The keeper was a part of the under 18 squad that finished runners up in the Youth Alliance Cup in 2023 and saved a penalty in their semi-final against Mansfield Town under 18s. Whilst with Rotherham, Ford also trained with the first team and received praise from the staff for his performances in both youth team games and first team training sessions. At the end of the 2023/24 season, Ford’s contract was not renewed and he signs for Town following a successful trial period.
