FC Halifax Town Under 19βs took some inspiration from the senior squad on Wednesday night, demolishing MMU 7-2 to go top of the National League U19 Alliance.
The Shaymen found themselves 2-1 down at the interval, but put in an outstanding shift in the second half to turn the score line around by some margin.
Ross Barrows bagged himself a hat-trick, Joshua Debenham scored a brace, and Shiraz Khan and Ousman Cham also put their names on the scoresheet for the Shaymen, the latter also scoring two days earlier in the U21βs loss to Harrogate.
The win puts Halifax at the top of the table via goal-difference, but with two games in hand over FC United of Manchester in second.
