FC Halifax Town will face Maidenhead United at the Shay on Saturday in the Vanarama National League, 3pm kick-off.

The Shaymen go into the match in 9th place in the table looking for a 5th home league win of the season.

Town haven’t played for two weeks due to going out of the FA Trophy and lost 3-0 away at Southend United in their last game but gained a point at home to Altrincham on New Year’s Day at home with a 0-0 draw.

Chris Millington’s side last won on Boxing Day with a 2-1 victory away at Altrincham.

Maidenhead haven’t won in their last three games and have failed to score in all three of them. Like the Shaymen they have struggled for goals this season and have scored just 16 goals in 13 away games this season whilst Town have 15 goals at home in the same amount of games.

Their last victory was a 1-0 win at home to Kidderminster which followed a 4-1 victory away at Oxford City in a run of games which has seen just one defeat in ten games and sees them 14th in the table.

A Kane Ferdinand goal in the first half in the return fixture gave Alan Devonshire’s side all three points back in November.

There will be a 2pm pitch inspection on Friday to determine whether the game will go ahead.
