FC Halifax Town will start the new Vanarama National League season tomorrow with a home game against Maidenhead United at the Shay, 3pm kick-off.

It will be the first chance for the Town faithful to see the new look Shaymen following new arrivals this summer.

Town have signed Jordan Slew, Matty Warburton, Harvey Gilmour, Billy Waters, Javid Swaby-Neavin, Jesse Debrah and Tyrell Warren in recent weeks for the new season.

Pete Wild will be looking for his squad to improve on last season’s 10th placed finish, missing out on a play-off place on the final day of the season.

The Shaymen will be led out by new Club Captain Niall Maher who has taken over from Nathan Clarke who departed this summer.

Last Time Out

Town won 2-1 away at York Road back in May with goals from Jake Hyde and Jeff King whilst Maidenhead pulled one back from Danilo Orsi who has moved this summer to Harrogate Town

Match Day

It will be the second chance for fans to be back in the Shay Stadium since the start of the pandemic as spectators are allowed back to watch games.

The matchday programme will be available inside the ground for just £3. Includes interviews with longest serving player Sam Johnson and new signing Billy Waters.

U12s go free with a paying adult for this weekend’s game.
