FC Halifax Town’s next match will come against Macclesfield in the FA Trophy 1st Round. Let’s get to know the two teams prior to the midweek fixture.

4: Town’s 4-1 loss to the Silkmen on New Year’s Day is the highest scoring defeat so far. It was unfortunately not the best start to the New Year for the Shaymen.

25: 25 is the number for Town’s midfielder; Josh McDonald, who has made the most appearances so far, this season. Coming off the bench only once.

1: One third of Town’s 12 clean sheets have been at the MBi Shay, the rest of the two thirds have been on the road.

7: 0-0 continues to be Town’s most common Scoreline so far, this season. Seven times has the match ended 0-0, 0-2 is the second most common scoreline.

2459: Out of the maximum 2,610 minutes from the past 29 games, Town’s defender Josh Wilde has spent the most time on the field than any other player so far, having 2,459 minutes to his name and only missing the 0-0 draw to Woking in the middle of November.

11: Onto the Vanarama National league leaders Macclesfield where we’ll kick off their stats with their unbeaten run of 11 games, their last defeat was to Eastleigh where the game lost 2-1 and took place just before Halloween!

9: The Silkmen’s number one striker who wears the number nine shirt is Scott Wilson, he has made 27 appearances for Macclesfield and scoring 11 goals.

13: Nearly half of the whole 29 games that have been played so far have ended up in clean sheets for the visitors. 13 is the magic number that’s on their tally, seven of them have been at home whilst the other six have been away.

29: Silkmen defender Keith Lowe has played all 29 games so far, this season He joined the club in the Summer of 2017 and has scored one goal as well as 13 clean sheets, Lowe looks to have proved his worth, contributing a lot to the team and help them go 11 games unbeaten.

1: 1-0 turns out to be their most common scoreline so far, this season, seven games have ended 1-0 out of their total 29 games in the league. 2-1 is their second common scoreline, four times the game has ended with a win and both teams scoring.

That’s for all this week, we’ll see you at the MBi Shay for the FA Trophy Replay. Enjoy the game.
