ENTERPRISE NATIONAL LEAGUE: Full-time
I’m recruiting on behalf of FC Halifax Town for an experienced Club Secretary to join this National League football club, following the retirement of the long-serving Secretary after 12 years.
This is a varied, hands-on role at the heart of a professional sporting environment – no two days are the same, and match days bring their own energy entirely. A positive, can-do outlook is a must for this role.
The Role
You’ll handle sport-specific and general secretarial duties, acting as a key point of contact between directors, football management, players and the various football bodies the Club deals with day to day – the FA, the County FA, the National League and the Premier League. You’ll produce financial and other information, prepare for and run match days, support business functions, and represent the Club at meetings and events, including EGMs and the AGM (in person and via Teams/Zoom), along with other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
What I’m Looking For
- A current or recently experienced Club Secretary, ideally with National League or similar football environment background
- Excellent interpersonal skills – comfortable with the public, staff, players and everyone who comes into contact with the Club, especially on match days
- A genuine team player who’ll fit into a small, close-knit non-football staff group
- Confident with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and standard communication tools
- Familiarity with IFAS and TMS registration systems is useful but not essential.
What’s on Offer
Salary and working arrangements are commensurate with experience and open for discussion.
There’s a strong administrative structure already in place, designed to make settling in straightforward – so you can focus on making the role your own and building on it for the future.
To Apply
