FC Halifax Town are delighted to confirm the signing of centre back Jo Cummings following his release from National League North side Boston United.
Cummings began his career in the Sheffield United academy and went on to make his senior debut in the EFL Trophy in a 4-2 win over Grimsby Town in November 2016. Cummings made the switch to League One side Charlton Athletic in 2017 and joined the National League North side Guiseley on a one-month loan deal. However, after just a handful of appearances for Charlton, the defender joined then League Two side Scunthorpe United in the Summer of 2019. In March 2020, Cummings joined Radcliffe in the Northern Premier League Premier Division on loan for the remainder of the season, before making the move permanent that Summer. The following season, the defender made the switch to Sheffield FC in the Northern Premier League Division One East.
After leaving Sheffield, Cummings joined National League North side Spennymoor Town prior to the start of the 2022/23 campaign, the defender made just five appearances for The Moors before joining Boston United in November 2022. Cummings made 15 appearances for The Pilgrims last season, scoring once as they finished 15th in the National League North.
