A few words with our first signing of the season.
We caught up with new signing Jake Hyde on his decision for joining the ‘Shaymen’ despite numerous other contract offers for the 20/21 campaign.
“I have loads of reasons for signing for Halifax but the main components that made the decision easy was the Gaffer, the coaching team and what he wants to achieve here. It’s a good club with a great history…speaking to him changed my outlook, we all want to achieve things and progress but what I like about this club is the sky’s the limit, everything is there to kick on so why not be ambitious and go after it.
“The Club had a good season last year but the Manager is not content with that, he wants to go again and that’s how it should be in my opinion, that’s how you become successful.
I liked the confidence he showed in me from day one and his plan of how he wants to play football going forward.
“We all want to achieve great things but sometimes it isn’t the biggest club or the best contract that has the overall package, it’s the right club for you to progress and thrive with.
“Right now I feel that’s here for me and I can’t wait to get going”.
