FC Halifax Town are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Jack Jenkins from Championship side Leeds United.

Having featured in the youth ranks at Garforth Villa and Leeds, Jenkins signed a two-year scholarship with Leeds in April 2018. The midfielder was then offered a professional contract by Leeds in January 2019, with the deal lasting until the Summer of 2021. However, in November 2019, Jenkins signed another new deal to keep him at Leeds until the Summer of 2023. His first taste of senior football came in the EFL Trophy as part of the Leeds United under-21 squad that faced Barrow in October 2020. Jenkins made his senior debut for Leeds in January 2021 as Leeds fell to a 3-0 defeat to Crawley in the FA Cup third round. In September 2021, Jenkins signed a new three-year deal keeping him at Leeds until the Summer of 2024.

The central midfielder spent the 2022/23 season on loan at League Two side Salford City where he scored on his debut in a 2-1 win over Liverpool under-21s in the EFL Trophy. Jenkins made 11 appearances in all competitions for the Ammies as they reached the League Two playoffs, losing to Stockport County in the semi-finals. In September 2023, Jenkins joined National League North side Scunthorpe United on loan until January where he made nine appearances.

Welcome Jack
