FC Halifax Town return to the Shay this Saturday for the Vanarama National League Fixture of Havant & Waterlooville for a 3pm kick off.

The Shaymen have got that winning feeling again after Tuesday night’s victory away at Maidstone United. Scott Quigley got his first goal for Town since joining on loan from Blackpool.  The win has moved The Shaymen up three places in the league table to 15th with 39 points, that five points clear of the final relegation spot taken by this Saturdays opponent who are on 34 points.

The Hawks were also in action on Tuesday night as they faced a tough match away to A.F.C Fylde. The night started of brightly for The Hawks as striker Matthew Paterson tucked away his penalty in the 14th minute, but that is as good as it good for the visitors. Five minutes later they conceded the first of the six goals Fylde would put past them. Alfie Rutherford would score a late consolation goal for the south coast club, the game finished 6-2 to Fylde.

The Hawks haven’t won since they beat Boreham Wood in mid-January 3-1 away from home. They did come close last weekend though as they faced now league leaders Wrexham at home. Another early penalty scored by The Hawks put Wrexham under pressure. But with the worst defence in the league conceding 62 goals so far it was always going to be a mammoth task keeping a clean sheet, The Hawks would go on to concede three goals in twelve minutes, final score was 2-3 to Wrexham.

If you are unable to make it to the Shay this Saturday, you can listen to live commentary from the ground on Shaymen Audio from 2:45pm for a 3pm kick off.
