FC Halifax Town take a break tomorrow from league action with FA Trophy action at the Shay against Hartlepool United.

It will be the first of three games against Hartlepool over the festive period with the league games to be played on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Town were defeated 2-1 away at Solihull in midweek but our last game on home soil saw a 5-2 win over Barnet which was the first of a three match winning run.

Hartlepool were defeated 3-0 away at Woking last weekend with Matthew Jarvis, Jack Cook and Slavi Spasov on target for the Cards, who finished the game with 10 men with Maz Kretzscmar sent off.

There will be a familiar face in the Hartlepool squad tomorrow with Josh MacDonald returning to the Shay. He hasn’t started a league game for them this season.

Their top scorer is Gavan Holohan who has got 3 goals in 13 appearances to date for the side who are just two points above the Shaymen in 13th place.
