FC Halifax Town will host Hartlepool United at the Shay on Tuesday night in the Vanarama National League, 7.45pm kick-off.
The Shaymen go into the game in 7th place following the weekend’s 2-1 victory over Kidderminster Harriers thanks to two goals from Millenic Alli.
It was Town’s first home win since the opening day of the season and saw them jump above Hartlepool who dropped to 11th with defeat at Aldershot Town.
Chris Millington’s side have won the last three league games scoring 2 in each game and conceding just twice.
Hartlepool have won just once in their last five games with four defeats away at Aldershot Town & Boreham Wood as well as home games against Dorking and Solihull.
Their only victory in that run was a 3-1 against Eastleigh at home with Tom Crawford and two goals from Mani Dieseruvwe.
Dieseruvwe will return to the Shay following his departure in the summer from Town as top goalscorer for Hartlepool with 9 goals in 15 games. Three of those goals have been in the last two games which ended a run of seven games without a goal.
The last time the two sides met was during the behind closed door era of Covid and it ended 1-1 at the Shay with Kieran Green on target for the Shaymen and ended the game with 10 men with Danny Williams shown a straight red card
