FC Halifax Town will take a break from league action with the short trip to Guiseley in the FA Trophy third round tonight, 7.45pm kick-off.
The Shaymen have seen league results improve in the last couple of months and have risen to 10th in the Vanarama National League, just three points below the play-off places.
A run of 6 home wins in a row have seen the Club take 23 points from the last 33 on offer and have lost just once in 7 games, which was a 1-0 defeat away at Yeovil Town.
A point at Bromley and victory at Solihull followed a defeat at Wrexham but Town have only won twice on the road this season with wins at Solihull and Scunthorpe.
Guiseley now ply their trade in the Northern Premier League Division and last time out they beat Morpeth 1-0 at home. Their match with Marine was postponed due to an illness outbreak within their squad.
They sit 15th in the table just two points above the relegation places.
There will be a couple of familiar faces for the Shay faithful as former Town youth goalkeeper Kyle Trenerry and ex loanee Luke Dean spent time with the Club, whilst first team coach Martin Foster will be a well known face for the travelling fans.
The winners will face either a trip to Swindon Supermarine or Harrow Borough on Sat 14th Jan.
