Town’s Conference Premier fixture with Grimsby will be now be played on Tuesday, April 15, due to Grimsby reaching the semi-final of the FA Trophy
The clash at Blundell Park was originally scheduled for February 22nd but the second leg of Grimsby’s semi-final with Cambridge falls on that date. The North Lincolnshire side travel to Cambridge for the first-leg before hosting the conclusion the week after for a spot at Wembley.
The match that has now been moved to the final few weeks of the season could have massive significance on the playoff aspirations of both Grimsby and the Shaymen. Both clubs currently lye 6th and 7th in the league, just outside the playoff spots, so if the standings remain similar by April 15, we could be in for a tense showdown.
