FC Halifax Town will head to Gloucestershire tomorrow in the first league game of the new season to take on Forest Green Rovers, 3pm kick-off.
The Shaymen will have John McGrath in charge for his first competitive game having replaced the departed Adam Lakeland who left the Club at the end of last season to become manager at Morecambe.
Town will hand first team league debuts to a number of players tomorrow who have arrived under new boss McGrath with True Grant, Raheem Conte, Mackenzie Maltby, Will Flint, Conor Carty, Zak Gilsenan, Connor Douglas, Amari Morgan-Smith, Ben Tollitt, Arian Allen and Tayt Trusty all joining the Club.
McGrath will be looking to improve on Town’s 8th place finish least season, under previous boss Adam Lakeland they finished 11 points outside the play-off and it was Forest Green who finished in 7th.
Rovers are managed by Robbie Savage and will be looking to start their season with a win
They have boosted their squad yesterday with the signing of centre back Filozofe Mabete from Swindon Town on a six month loan which was their ninth signing ahead of the season
Other notable signings this summer include goalkeeper Ethan Ross following time at Altrincham, midfielder Oli Ewing from Scunthorpe and Omari Patrick from Tranmere Rovers
