After Cambridge’s game at Kidderminster was postponed it has given Luton, who are unbeaten at home this season, a golden chance to stretch their lead at the top when they host relegation strugglers Tamworth on Saturday. The league leaders won 4-3 in the reverse fixture in October and another three points would take them 6 points clear whilst defeat for Tamworth would seem them remain in the drop zone.

It is another big weekend for the teams fighting for the playoff spots with the third, fourth and fifth placed teams in action. Fifth placed Nuneaton entertain midtable Braintree whilst Alfreton and Gateshead face tricky visits to teams in the chasing pack. Alfreton travel to Salisbury who lye 9thin the table and will be looking to bounce back from their 5-1 thrashing at Halifax on Tuesday and Gateshead have a trip to Welling.

It could also be an instrumental weekend at the other end of the table with all the bottom four playing on Saturday. Hyde’s fate is looking near enough sealed unless they could produce an absolute miracle; the team at the foot of the table will be looking to pick up only their second with of the season when they host Lincoln.

The two teams just above them, Dartford and Southport, however, have a much more realistic chance of survival and will desperate for wins this weekend to take them closer to survival. Both sides have tough away ties with Dartford travelling to Wrexham and Southport going to playoff hopefuls Grimsby.
