With the announcement of the Vanarama National League fixtures, here’s a look at some of the important dates for your diary.

FC Halifax Town’s opening fixture sees the Shaymen make the trip down to Barnet, the first time since the 2019/20 season we have played away on the opening day. The first home fixture comes in the form of Torquay United in the second game of the season.

The Shaymen will face newly relegated Oldham Athletic for the first time since July 2019 when they visit the Shay on October 29th. Fellow relegated side Scunthorpe United will come to the Shay on January 24th, the first time since December 2005.

From the National League North, Gateshead travel to the Shay on September 13th, whilst York City make their way to West Yorkshire on October 4th. From the National League South, Town host Dorking Wanderers for the first time ever on September 10th. Maidstone United will have to wait until April 15th before they come to the Shay.

The festive fixture sees the Shaymen travel to Altrincham on Boxing Day before the home fixture takes place on New Year’s Day.

Town’s final scheduled game of the season comes against Eastleigh at the Shay on April 29th, the first time since the 2020/21 season that we have been at home on the final day.

The Shaymen will enter the FA Cup in the 4th Qualifying Round which is scheduled to take place on October 15th. Town will also enter the FA Trophy in the 3rd Round which is due to be played on December 17th.
