FC Halifax Town B U19’s faced FC United of Manchester U19’s in an emphatic 6-6 draw at the Wyke Sports Village.
After beating South Shields who play in the NLFA North Division 1-0 in the Alliance League Cup they would have been looking to get back-to-back wins returning to the league.
The left-back for UoM scored in the ninth minute to go 1-0 up, a deep cross was carried by the wind and ended up in the back of the net.
Town equalised in the 13th minute with Favour Gold running through on goal, taking it past the goalkeeper for an excellent finish to get Town back to 1-1.
The Manchester side scored in the 17th minute; the right winger had fortune with the ball falling to him in the box to make it 2-1.
Doubling his tally 6 minutes later, Manchester made it 3-1.
Sublime play from Halifax with Luke Brooks showing excellent flair with a tricky backheel pass in the box to Lewis Barlow who converted in the 34th minute making it 3-2.
Halifax won a penalty in the 40th minute, with outstanding play from Gold forcing the defender to make a challenge and concede the penalty. Brooks stepped up and scored to equalise, 3-3.
Five minutes later, the UoM striker scored making it 4-3 going into halftime.

It only took until the 54th minute for another goal, Gold got his second after the ball fell to him in the box to make it 4-4.
12 minutes later Town took the lead for the first time with exquisite play from Gold passing inwards to Hamza Hamdosh with a first-time strike to make it 5-4 in the 66th minute.
After a penalty shout for UoM in the 67th minute, the manager was furious that the referee denied the penalty and after an exchange of words the referee awarded him a yellow card making it clear if it happens again, it will be a red.
Only a minute later he saw his side concede a sixth as the Gold demonstrated brilliant hold-up play as Halifax shifted the ball from right to left with Anson Younis lashing the ball into the side netting to make it 6-4.
The Manchester side equalised in the 72nd minute after scrappy play in the box that led to them making it 6-5.
The second penalty of the match went to UoM in the 83rd minute for a handball offence, the left winger scored to make it 6-6
