With the current weather in mind and given the Met Office amber warnings that are in place. The following update outlines the plan to ensure we can fulfil tonight’s FA Trophy fixture against Southport FC.
- There will be a pitch inspection today (Tuesday) at 1.30pm. (completed by a referee).
- If the pitch inspection is passed then we will wait for the match referee to arrive later in the day. The match referee will then inspect the pitch again, in line with matchday protocols.
- If at this point the match referee calls the game off, we will then play the game tomorrow night (Wednesday) at Haig Avenue with a 7pm kick off.
- If at 1.30pm today (Tuesday) the referee deems the pitch unplayable, we will play our game tonight at Haig Avenue with the same kick off time of 7pm.
- The game will be streamed through the home side’s streaming service – we will provide those details as soon as we have them.
- These plans have been agreed by the FA in conjunction with Southport FC.
