FC Halifax Town will entertain League One side Exeter City at the Shay in the Emirates FA Cup 1st Round on Saturday, 3pm kick-off.
The Shaymen take a break from league action thanks to a 3-1 victory over Southport in the 4th qualifying round at Haig Avenue.
Town sit 8th in the National League just two points outside the play-off places and have just lost 1 game in the last 11 in league and cup which came in a 2-1 defeat at Truro.
It’s the first time Halifax have got to the 1st round since 2022 when they were defeated at this stage by Ebbsfleet United.
Exeter’s won 4-3 in midweek over Arsenal U21s in the Football League Trophy and won 2-0 at home to Devon rivals Plymouth in their last league game.
They sit 18th in the League One table and their last away game saw them lose 1-0 away at Stockport County.
The last time a Halifax side faced Exeter City was the old club back in 2006 when Town lost 4-2 at St James Park with Lewis Killeen and John Grant on target for Chris Wilder’s side.
The game is not being shown live but highlights will be available on TNT Sports and BBC during their highlight shows.
