FC Halifax Town U19s B team claimed the three points against Eccleshill United winning 2-0 at the Wyke Sports Village in the National League U19 Division H
No time was wasted by Town as they scored in the 3rd minute. A switch of play found William Tupman and a pinpoint cross first time found the head of Ashton Peltier who converted at the back post to give Town the lead early on
Town were looking to be the ones to set the tempo, not allowing Eccleshill any of the ball making sure they were always on the back foot
Favour Gold had a good chance to double the lead in the 16th minute as he collected the ball just inside the box, he shifted it onto his right foot and got the shot off but the goalkeeper parried it out for a corner
Tupman was looking to keep delivering the ball into the box and another cross found Peltier but his header was saved, Town looked like they could score at any given moment
In the 40th minute came a huge chance for Gold, a lovely, clipped ball over the top from Harvey Coates fell to Gold and he got himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper but a miraculous save saw the ball go out for another corner.

Within the first five minutes of the second half Town had another opportunity to score, Seb Bolton won a flick on and the ball fell to Gold, the goalkeeper rushed out and Gold tried chipping the goalkeeper but the ball went just wide of the post
In the 61st minute, Town finally managed to double the lead to 2-0. A shot was taken from the edge of the box and the goalkeeper saved the strike but the rebound fell to Gold who was able to tap the ball into the net to get another goal for Town
15 minutes later Town had another chance, substitute Lewis Barlow was put through on goal from Anson Younis. As he was through, he tried to steer the ball into the bottom right but the ball ended up at the other side of the post.
Luke Brooks found himself with the ball on the edge of the box, he was able to set himself and get the shot off but the goalkeeper got down in time to make the save and concede a corner
It was a solid performance from Town who dominated possession throughout the whole match, making sure Eccleshill were never able to get flowing and cause them any issues.
