FC Halifax Town host Ebbsfleet United at the MBi Shay Stadium on Saturday, following a valuable point in North Wales, against Wrexham.

The Shaymen will want to pick up where they left off after Scott Garner’s close-range effort gained a point for Neil Young’s men against promotion hopefuls Wrexham last weekend.

Town have not won a game in the league since 23 December when they thrashed Chester FC 4-0 at the MBi Shay Stadium.

The team currently sit in 18th position, with just a five-point gap between themselves and the drop zone, after recent results due to a long list of injury problems.

After winning just one of their last four league matches, Ebbsfleet United will be looking to get a result on the weekend and will be no pushovers as they look to sustain their place in the Vanarama National League following promotion last season.

The visitors on Saturday won their most recent game 1-0 against Solihull Moors, but did not win any of the previous five before Saturday’s victory.

Town’s defence will need to be wary of Danny Kedwell. As the opposition’s threat in attack, the former Gillingham man has eleven goals in the National League this season.

Although he is the top scorer, his most recent goal was back in December when he scored the match winner against Bromley in a game which finished 2-1 to the hosts.

Tom Denton will be looking to make his mark and show the new management team what he is made of, after narrowly missing a chance to win the game for the Shaymen, in the last game against Wrexham.

The last time these two teams met up was back in September when Town lost the game 2-0 with two goals from Sean Shields after coming off the bench in the match in Kent.

It was a disappointing performance from the Shaymen and they will be looking to put it right this weekend as they seek revenge.
