FC Halifax Town will make the long trip south on Saturday to take on Ebbsfleet United in the Vanarama National League, 3pm kick-off.

The Shaymen will go into the game on the back of 2-1 victory over Woking in midweek thanks to Tylor Golden’s injury time winner at the Laithwaite Community Stadium.

The victory over Woking was Town’s third on the road this season with wins over Oldham and Rochdale as well as points away at both Solihull and Barnet.

It saw Town move back up the table into 12th in the table and they will face a Ebbsfleet three places below and 2 points below them.

They lost 5-2 away at Eastleigh in midweek and finished the game with 10 men with Billy Clifford seeing red for the Kent side.

Ebbsfleet have just one win in 7 games which was a 3-1 victory over Boreham Wood in their last home game. They have also beaten York City 4-1, Kidderminster Harriers 3-0 and Aldershot Town 2-0 this season on home soil.

Their top scorer is Dominic Poleon with 7 goals in 8 games this season.

Last tie the two sides met was in the FA Cup in the 2022/23 season when Ebbsfleet on 2-1 at Stonebridge Road.

Town won 4-1 back in August 2019 but have lost their other two league visits to Kent in September 2017 and November 2018
