James Ferry scored his second of the season and helped Halifax on to a 1-0 win over Eastleigh putting an end to their 5-game winning streak. The match winner gave his thoughts on the game after the match to interviewer Ben Rowland. He said he was:
βBuzzing to come so far away from the Shay to take the 3 points, thatβs why we came here. The performance doesnβt matter when your playing in this league you just need to get the three points and luckily, we managed to do itβ
βFirst half we defended for our lives, Browny (Matty Brown), Clarkey (Nathan Clarke), Sellers and big Sam (Johnson), in goal, were terrific. Second half we got it down and played well and we got a goal on the back of thatβ
James also spoke about his goal and impact by new players in the squad:
βWell I played in that position all of last year for Nuneaton and I nicked a couple coming in on the back stick and sort got a bit of nouse playing in that position. I just timed it really, I saw Quigs (Scott Quigley) managed to turn and I got on the end of itβ
On the new signings he said:
βI thought Devante (Rodney) up top was a handful, I thought Manny (Duku) as well was a handful in the first half. He gave us that turning and running in behind something that we might not have had, they were a handful and good start for themβ
