FC Halifax Town won 3:1 against Dorking Wanderers in the game which for a long time looked like it was not meant to happen.

The Shaymen started the game with two changes in comparison to last week’s success against Chesterfield as they were looking for the 6th win in a row at their home pitch.

The first few minutes of the game didn’t bring any clear situations for either of the sides as Luke Moore shot from outside the box went far above the goalkeeper.

In the 25th minute of the game, we’ve seen the first opportunity for the Shaymen as the volley from Mani Dieseruvwe was saved by Joe Walsh after the great solo run and cross from Town’s captain Jesse Debrah.

Only a minute later Jamie Cooke got behind the defender’s line and didn’t miss the one on one against the goalkeeper and scored his 3rd goal of this season, putting Halifax up front.

After the first goal Town players put the next gear and the pressure on the Dorking side which guaranteed them a few good-looking chances which they couldn’t change for a second goal.

Just a few seconds before the end of the first half time a great header from Mani Dieseruvwe was refused by another save from the Dorking goalkeeper.

The first half of the game finished with a one-goal difference between the two teams in favour of FC Halifax Town.

In the 48th minute, Jaime Cook’s strike outside the box was blocked by one of the Dorking’s defenders, after which we’ve seen some show of skill from Matt Warburton which end up with a corner for the home side.

The Shaymen players didn’t take their foot off the gas which resulted in the 58th minute fabulous strike from Kim Spence which put the home team two goals ahead.

Taylor Golden in the 67th minute was the next player to put his name on the score list after a great solo run. This goal was his first of the season.

Dorking responded in the 78th minute with a goal from Ryan Seager after a strong cross from the left-hand side, which brought back some hope for the away side.

Jamie Cooke with two dangerous-looking situations has put the Dorking side back to defence and the game finished with a 3:1 win for the Shaymen. That was the first time this season for FC Halifax Town to score 3 goals in one game.
