FC Halifax Town striker Liam McAlinden spoke to Shaymen TV following his goal in the 1-0 victory against Dagenham & Redbridge at the Shay stadium.
Jake: Liam, first start, first goal! How does that feel?
Liam: Yeah, obviously Iβm delighted, it was priority to win the game, itβs been a great start and weβve just got to continue with how weβre performing at the minute. On a personal note Iβm delighted with the goal and the win.
Jake: How good was the teamβs performance today?
Liam: Yeah it was a bit of a different performance, Iβve only come in over the last week, weβve had to dig in and defend well in the past two games and Iβm really pleased with how things are going, but we canβt really rest on it, thereβs a lot of games this month, so weβve got to continue what weβre doing and see where it takes us.
Jake: Do you think with the conditions, and a strong opponent today was the toughest opposition so far?
Liam: Well Iβve only played in the two games, but there a tough opposition, we dealt with it well and got the result.
Jake: Are you setting yourself any personal targets for this season?
Liam: No thatβs not something I really do, if I keep performing well the goals will come, like I say Iβm delighted with the goal and the three points.
Jake: Tough opponent in Wrexham on Tuesday, your thoughts on the game?
Liam: There all tough games at the minute, especially when youβre playing Saturday-Tuesday, everyone is a tough opponent and weβll go to Wrexham with the same game plan as what weβve been doing and hopefully we can get another three points on the board.
