FC Halifax had to come from behind again to earn a point with a 1-1 draw away at Dagenham thanks to Andrew Oluwabori’s late strike
Town boss Chris Millington named an unchanged starting Xi for the trip to Dagenham that has played in the first three games of the season
An early run by Jack Evans down the left had side was a positive start for the Shaymen but his cross eluded everyone and out for a goal kick.
Tom Pugh did well down the left-hand side and forced the first corner of the game in the 9th minute. Angelo Cappello’s cross to the far post was cleared by the Daggers defence.
First corner for the home side was in the 15th minute, Junior Morias forced the corner and the ball into the box was headed into the goal by Kalambayi, but the referee ruled the goal out as he deemed, he had fouled Adam Adetoro in the box.
Ryan Hill’s cross was met by Frank Vincent with a run from deep, however his effort was over the top of Sam Johnson’s goal.
The home side took the lead in the 27th minute, Ryan Hill’s ball into the box was met perfectly by Josh Rees giving Sam Johnson no chance at all
A ball into the box, Sam Johnson can’t get there, and a header is just wide of the target with just over 5 minutes of the half to go.
Millington made his first change of the game before the half time break with Florent Hoti on for Jack Jenkins
Town won a freekick on the right-hand side, the ball into the box was headed over the bar
Cooke won a corner in injury time, Hoti into the near post and headed away in the last chance of the half.
With just six minutes of the second half played, Chris Millington made his second change of the game with Owen Bray on for Tom Pugh.
A fantastic move for the home side, Pereira found Hill and his cross was met by Rees and his effort was just wide of the post.
A freekick for a foul on Bray on the right-hand side, Hoti’s high ball into the box was headed away by Tom Eastman
Dagenham made a change in the 60th minute with Ryan Hill replaced by Remy.
A foul in a central area on Bray gave Hoti another freekick but his curled effort was on target but easy for Justham to claim.
Junior Morais had space at the edge of the box following Eastman winning the ball back, however his effort was deflected into the hands of Johnson.
Millington made more changes in the 67th minute with Aaron Cosgrave on for Adan George before Daggers made a substitution with Josh Umerah on for Morais.
Cooke and Oluwabori combined in the 76th minute, it needed an excellent block in the box to stop the Town frontman for a corner. Eastman was able to head out as far as Oluwabori but he handled at the edge of the box
A final change came for Town in the 78th minute, Zak Emmerson on for Angelo Cappello
An excellent save from Sam Johnson with just over 10 minutes from Remy ensured the Daggers didn’t go 2-0 up.
Pereira beat Bray for strength and got into the box a couple of minutes later but could only fire past the go
Town equalised in the 83rd minute to earn a point with a fantastic shot from Andrew Oluwabori left Justham with absolutely no chance into the bottom corner
The home side had a freekick shortly afterwards, the ball into the box was headed onto the roof of the net by substitute Umerah.
Seven minutes of injury time was signalled and both sides were hoping to find the winner.
A long throw into the box was headed out as far as Josh Rees and his shot hit his own man and out for a goal kick in a good opportunity for the Daggers.
Town had a chance in the final minute of injury time, the ball was played goalwards but Dagenham had to head off the line with just seconds remaining, before Town had another opportunity as Hoti turned and forced a save from Justham to turn his effort over the bar for a corner.
It finished 1-1 at Dagenham and Town will be in action on Bank Holiday Monday when Solihull Moors will be the visitors to the Shay, 3pm kick-off
