FC Halifax Town finally return to league action tomorrow with the visit of Dagenham & Redbridge to the Shay Stadium, 3pm kick-off.
It’s been 204 days since the Shay Stadium hosted a Vanarama National League game and has seen only one home pre-season game with a 2-2 draw against Boston United two weeks ago.
Pete Wild has made numerous changes to his squad since the defeat against Ebbsfleet back in March, Jack Senior, Neill Byrne, Tom Bradbury, Kieran Green, Jake Hyde, Matty Stenson, Reuben Noble-Lazarus, Luke Summerfield and Martin Woods have all joined the Club for the new season.
The other thing that will be different tomorrow is there will be no fans in the ground to support either side. Covid19 restictions have ended the hope that fans can attend games hopefully just in the short-term. The Club has purchased streaming facilities and these will go live tomorrow. We know it won’t be the same but it will be broadcast around the world so it doesn’t matter where you try to watch the stream.
