FC Halifax Town entertain Dagenham & Redbridge at the MBi Shay Stadium on Saturday in the 5th game of the season.

The Shaymen won the first three games of the season against Braintree, Barrow and Maidstone but fell to a 2-1 defeat away at Salford City.

Town had been top after three games but dropped to 4th following the loss courtesy of two goals from former Aberdeen striker Adam Rooney who scored either side of Matty Kosylo’s close range effort.

Town have scored 8 goals so far in the opening 4 games with 7 different scorers. Dayle Southwell is leading the way with 2 goals following goals against Barrow and Maidstone.

Dagenham have just one point from their opening four games.

They lost 1-0 to last season’s beaten playoff team Boreham Wood on the opening day following by a 2-1 home defeat to Maidstone.

Peter Taylor’s side drew 2-2 at home to Maidenhead United. They went behind to Ayo Obileye’s 15th minute goal, Alex McQueen equalised for the Daggers before Nana Owusu put the visitors ahead again on 81 minutes but Elliott Romain equalised to share the points

In their last game, they lost 2-1 away at Aldershot for the Shots first win of the season.

Romain has scored 50% of the Daggers goals so far with Chike Kandi and McQueen also on target for them.

Can the Shaymen make it win 4 of the season? Come down to the MBi Shay Stadium on Saturday and support the lads to find out.
