It’s official, Nathan Clarke has shown his commitment to ‘The Shaymen’ for a further year. Nathan today (Wednesday) penned a one year deal for the 19/20 campaign. As always this is subject to FA/League clearances.
He joined Town last summer and played every minute of the 2018/19 season under Jamie Fullarton alongside Sam Johnson who has already extended his stay with the Club for a further two seasons.
The 34 year old started his career with Huddersfield Town making over 250 league appearances before loan spells at Colchester United, Oldham and Bury before joining Leyton Orient in 2012 making over 100 appearances for the East London side.
He returned north in 2015 to Bradford City and also had spells at Coventry City and Grimsby Town before returning to his home town last summer where he helped the Shaymen to 19 clean sheets from the 42 league games (41%).
We wish him well during his continued stay with the Shaymen.
