FC Halifax Town B U19’s fell to a 7-3 defeat at the Wyke Sports Village to Chorley FC in a match that got away from them early in the second half.

Another quick start for Town again, trying to get on top early on by applying pressure from the get-go. Bolton had a big chance in the 10th minute, a ball over the top from Jackson went over the defender’s head and Bolton got there but his shot narrowly missed wide

Town broke the deadlock in the 12th minute, they beat the press from Chorley and forced their defender into conceding a corner. Brooks took the corner and whipped it in the 6-yard box and Jackson was left free to slot the ball in the back of the net to make it 1-0

Only 8 minutes later, Town scored again to make it 2-0. Gold took matters into his own hands and decided to go by himself, coming in off the right flank and beating multiple players to curl it into the side netting to double the lead

Town was looking dangerous throughout the first half with Jackson always looking for the over-the-top through ball to Bolton which was proving to be effective

Chorley scored in the 33rd minute. The striker got the ball inside the box, took it past the keeper and passed it across the 6-yard box for the winger to tap in to make it 2-1

Just before halftime, Chorley equalised. The striker went through on goal one-on-one and converted to make it 2-2 going into half-time

Chorley scored in the 46th minute. From kick-off, they found themselves in the box and managed to get a shot off and score to take the lead

Minutes later they doubled their lead to 4-2, the ball was hanging in the box and the striker won the header and converted in the 50th minute

In the 53rd minute, Chorley scored their 5th. The left winger found himself in space 25 yards out, he struck the ball and it floated into the net to make it 5-2

In the 60th minute, Chorley scored again. The right winger came from the touchline, cut inside and converted his shot for 6-2

The 64th minute saw Town pull one back to make it 6-3. After a free kick on the edge of the box, the ball got recycled and Brooks found space on the edge of the box and put it in the top right corner to try and ignite a comeback

Chorley made it 7-3 in the 80th minute, The left winger managed to get another one for his side
