Shaymen TV caught up with FC Halifax Town defender Jerome Binnom-Williams after the 1-0 victory against Chorley FC at Victory Park.

We asked Jerome his thoughts on the Shaymen’s performance, here was his response:

“I thought we done well, last few weeks we’ve done well, we just had to keep fighting through it. First half was end to end game, but second half, I felt we controlled it a little bit.”

Jerome was on the bench last game out against Maidenhead, but made his return to the starting 11 today, and without a doubt he was pleased. “It feels good, the team was doing well, so I had to be patient and wait for my time, I’ve been training hard, the first 20 minutes, I felt it a little bit, but after that I got into the game and felt comfortable”.

It was three at the back again today for the Shaymen with Jerome taking up a role in centre-half. It was his first time in a three at the back for Binnom-Williams but had previously played in a two at centre-half.

With FC Halifax Town now unbeaten in their last five games in the National League. Jerome stated “It’s best to rest up, keep going and keep the confidence up for the game on Tuesday against Dover. We’re not too overconfident, because if we are, then you can see cracks, we know every game is hard in this league.
