We spoke to defender Michael Duckworth after the 2-1 win against Solihull Moors, finding out his thoughts on the result and the upcoming fixture against Chesterfield FC.
Jake: Michael, what were your thoughts on the result against Solihull?
Michael: I was pleased with the three points, the lads had to dig deep at times, we knew what they were about, playing big lads up top. It was a hard-fought battle, but we came through on top.
Jake: Looking ahead to Chesterfield on Tuesday, what do you expect from them?
Michael: It depends what sort of side they play, but it’s going to be another physical test again, pretty much like every team in this league. We just have to prepare right, look after ourselves the next couple of days and we go again.
Jake: With Chesterfield being in the relegation and us being around the top at the minute, do you feel like we should go out to punish them on Tuesday?
Michael: You can’t really read into it this early into the season, anyone can beat anyone in this league, but if we keep doing the right things, I’m confident we can go there and pick up all three points.
