FC Halifax Town U19s and Chesterfield FC split the points evenly after a back-and-forth game.
It was Chesterfield who would start the game on the front foot away from home and were the better side in the opening 45, this would result in the away side going one goal to the good in the 20th minute, and this would be the score heading into the break.
Not to use a cliche, however this game truly was a game of two halves as the Town came out of the break a completely new side as they controlled the tempo of the game which resulted in a multitude of chances for the home side. And in the 65th minute Hamza Hamdosh would level the scoring; the chances did not slow down after levelling the score as Halifax wanted the win. Their labour would bare another fruit in the 87th minute as Favour Gold would put the Shaymen 2-1 with three minutes left of normal time, however the home side would be taught an important lesson as in the 94th minute Chesterfield would equalise through a scrappy penalty box scramble. The game would end FC Halifax Town 2-2 Chesterfield FC.
