FC Halifax Town look to bounce back from their previous defeat with a win against Chorley to gain a vital three points.

Halifax welcome Chorley to the Wyke Sports Village today at 2pm in Division ‘H’ of the National League U19 Alliance.

Although they got off to a good start in their previous fixture against Bradford Park Avenue, Town didn’t have enough to secure their first win of the season.

Despite the defeat, The Shaymen can take some positives into their tie today against Chorley. Once again, Favour Gold was involved in their goal, grabbing an assist as he looks to continue his fine form throughout this season.

This loss has seen Halifax drop one place in the table, sitting at 9th place in Division H of the NLAL. However, a win can see them go as high as 7th if they are to overcome Chorley, who have just come off the back of a 3-0 loss to Stockport County.

With both sides losing their previous games, this leaves both teams with all to play for, in what should be an interesting matchup.

The match against Bradford Park Avenue ended in a devastating 2-1 loss, as BPA scored a 90th minute winner curtesy of a wonder strike from their striker.

FC Halifax Town have not let their heads drop, and go into their fixture today with full confidence they can grab their first 3 points of the season.

The Academy League side also have a game today at 2pm against Chester in the NLFA division. Town are without a win in their last three games, only scoring once throughout those fixtures. Their previous result was a 0-0 draw vs Blyth Spartans.

The young Shaymen have not played a league game since the 18th October, so they will look to register a second win of the season, the first being a 2-0 win away at Chesterfield.

Chester lost their last game, losing 3-1 at home to Boston United. This will give Halifax the chance to capitalize on a potential loss of confidence at Chester, and take away a vital 3 points.
