FC Halifax Town will travel to Cheltenham Town in the Emirates FA Cup 1st Round on Saturday, 3pm kick-off.
The Shaymen earnt a place in the 1st Round thanks to a 3-2 home win over South Shields in the 4th qualifying round of the competition last month.
Town’s league form sees them in 10th position in the National League with two wins, one draw and four defeats on the road this campaign.
Up against Town will be League Two side Cheltenham Town who sit 5th in the table going into the clash.
They lost 3-1 away at Tranmere Rovers last weekend but their last home game at the EV Charge Points Stadium they beat Newport County 1-0 thanks to Charlie McCann’s early goal.
It’s the second in two seasons that Halifax have reached the first round of the competition and John McGrath will be hoping his side can go one better this time around as last season Town went out at this stage with a 2-0 home defeat by Exeter City having beaten Southport in the competition at Haig Lane 3-1
In the two previous seasons Town were knocked out in the 4th Qualifying Round 4-2 away at Oldham Athletic and lost 1-0 against Marine the year before that too
