  1. Chelsea were one of the first teams to wear numbers on the back of their shirts.
  2. Their 21-0 win the European cup winners’ cup in 1971 is an all time record win in an European competition.
  3. They won the first ever FA Cup to be held at the new Wembley in 2007, with Didier Drogba scoring the winning goal in extra time against Manchester United.
  4. Frank Lampard is the club’s record goal scorer with 211 goals.
  5. The Blues have always played at Stamford bridge since the club was founded in 1905.
  6. Chelsea’s record signing is Fernando Torres, who cost the club £50million in 2011, but he failed to live up to the price tag anf left the club four years later after scoring just 20 goals.
  7. They were able to win their first ever Champions League in 2012 in a dramatic final against Bayern Munich, where they eventually won the game on penalties.
  8. Roman Abramovic bought the club in 2003 from previous owner Ken Bates and his vast wealth has meant Chelsea have been able to compete with Europe’s best teams ever since.
  9. Jose Mourinho is the blues’ most successful manager ever winning three of their five league titles.
  10. Chelsea are the only British club to have won all three major UEFA trophies, the European Cup, Europa League and the Cup Winners’ Cup.
