FC Halifax Town are delighted to confirm the signing of centre back Charlie Hayes-Green from Bolton Wanderers on a permanent deal until the end of next season
Coming through the youth academy at Liverpool, the defender made his under 18 debut in 2021, whilst still an under 16 player. Hayes-Green had to undergo surgery in his first scholarship year that forced him out of the majority of the season, but he returned to the under 18s and made 13 league appearances the following year. In July 2023, Hayes-Green opted to make the switch to current club Bolton and joined up with their B team. In August 2024, the centre back joined Clitheroe in the Northern Premier League Division One West on an initial 28-day loan which was then extended through to the end of November. Hayes-Green’s next move came that same month as he stepped up a division to join FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League Premier Division. For FC United, Hayes-Green made 20 league appearances, scoring once in a 2-1 away over Basford United
