FC Halifax Town were defeated 3-0 away at Carlisle United in our second pre-season game ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Town boss Pete Wild opted to give 45 minutes to everyone again tonight bar Sam Johnson who had an hour.

The home side went ahead though Zach Clough from a freekick on 6 minutes and they doubled their lead on 12 minutes when Mampala scored from Dickenson’s cross.

The EFL League Two side rounded off the win with a late third goal as Toure’s cross was turned home by a defender.

Town are back in action on Tuesday night with a trip to Vanarama National League North side Guiseley, 7.45pm kick-off.
