FC Halifax Town will make the trip to Cumbria on Tuesday night to take on Carlisle United in the National League, 7.45pm kick-off.

The Shaymen go into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat by League One side Exeter City in the Emirates FA Cup at the weekend whilst Carlisle won 3-2 with a Regan Linney hattrick to knock Reading out.

Town sit just outside the play-off places in the National League and have picked up four wins from nine games on the road this season with victories at Boston, Gateshead, Morecambe and Rochdale so far this campaign.

Adam Lakeland’s side have picked up 17 points from the last 24 on offer and have scored in each of their last 8 league games

Carlisle were relegated from league two last season and have started the season well in 3rd place after 16 games. They sit just a point behind league leaders Rochdale

They are unbeaten in four in the league and picked up 22 points from the last 30 on offer scoring in each of their last four games

Carlisle picked up a point away at Yeovil in their last league game at Huish Park and beat Forest Green 4-2 last time out at Brunton Park.

The only team to beat them at home this season is league leaders Rochdale who won 2-0 back in September.
