BT Sport have made their live selections for the season’s first month and we kick-off in style with no fewer than six matches to get things going.
Following Wednesday’s fixture reveal, August 6 can’t come soon enough – and there will be plenty of action to feast on in the first four weeks as we start with half a dozen early crackers.
We get a close look at many of the Vanarama National League newcomers early on and it’s Scunthorpe United up first.
Chris Hargreaves has been a loyal BT Sport pundit for years but now he will be grilled by the panel – he brings his Yeovil Town team to Glanford Park in a live opening day encounter.
Oldham Athletic are up next and it’s Dorking Wanderers – promoted from the Vanarama National League South last season – who head to Boundary Park on August 13, kick-off 5.20pm.
There’s a Wednesday game soon after – Solihull Moors welcome York City on August 17, that starts at 7.45pm.
It’s a big grudge match on August 20 as we get our first glance at new-look Notts County, they take on Chesterfield in a massive early season clash.
We end the month with a Bank Holiday double bill.
Woking welcome Wrexham hoping to repeat last season’s live heroics, this game is on Saturday August 27.
Then on the Monday, Dean Brennan’s Barnet come under the microscope with Eastleigh looking to put on a show. That game kicks-off at the slightly earlier time of 5.15pm.
