FC Halifax Town will be looking to end their winless form by beating Bromley at Hayes Lane on Saturday 29th September. The Shaymen haven’t won in their last six games but we’ve showed we can put in the performances just can’t get the result, which we hope to change this Saturday.

One player the Shaymen will have to be wary of is young Bromley Striker Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe. Junior has scored 5 goals so far this campaign, 1 goal less then their current top scorer Tyler Smith but Junior has played around 200 minutes less than Smith this season. Bromley are currently 17th and got their first win in six games last game out beating Ebbsfleet away from home. Junior was first on the scoresheet to help Bromley with the win.

Junior is now 24 years old and his career started at lower English league oppositions. He started at 19 back in 2013 at Enfield 1893. He failed to get many appearances at several clubs in the first two years of his career. Playing for teams such as Aveley, Hucknall Town, Carlton Town, Gedling Miners Welfare, Hayes & Yeading United, Barkingside and Lewes. His career needed a change up so Junior went and moved to Cyprus to play football, participating in a lower Northern Cyprus division for a team called Türk Ocağı Limasol S.K. He played for them for 2 seasons, making 42 appearances and scoring 10 goals and did win his first piece of silverware, winning the Cypriot cup in that division. In 2017-18 season he moved on back to England to Isthmian League North Division side Maldon & Tiptree. This is where he made his breakthrough with an amazing record for the forward, competing in 34 games, scoring 34 goals for the club. That record didn’t go unnoticed and League two side Colchester United snapped him on an 18-month deal. He’s yet to get a real chance for Colchester yet, but has provided a goal last season against Coventry.

So Junior didn’t get his chance this season at Colchester, so they decided to send him on loan to Bromley, he’s provided 5 goals in 13 games so far and looks to be a physical presence up front for Bromley. The Shaymen will have to keep an eye on Junior this coming Saturday
